Diva Dawn decided to stick her toe in the water and enter a juried art show at the Paseo in Oklahoma City... Everyone please cross your fingers that my scarred lady gets in!

She's made of barbed wire and "contains" an icy (chandelier crystal) metal mesh heart.

The show is called "Hold It" - The Container Show.

Theme
Inspired and sponsored in part by artist Michi Susan, this Paseo Arts Association juried
exhibition CHALLENGES artists to create a mixed media, three-dimensional container of some type. The judge will look at originality and how well the artist interprets the idea of containment.

Opening Reception
Friday, November 6, 6-10pm

NEW FABULOUS & DAZZLING!

You'll never believe how TRES COOL & CHIC the newest "thing" from Divas D'Este is!

Diva De has outdone herself again and is making amazing fabric covered, crazy quilted, exquisitly adorned cuff bracelets! (They even have fabric on the inside of the cuff!) I have already grabbed one of them for myself I LOVE them so much!

She put so much time into these it's crazy! All the adornments you see are hand done and, she's used some of Divas D'Este's fabulous images on fabric!

They are so new ... I'm not sure if she even has a name for these beauties yet!

Illustration Friday!

In addition to playing with my favorite new little translation thingy... I have been trying to get back into "doing" art on a regular basis... I have started a new little series of mixed media collages, (which I will start posting as soon as I'm finished with the first one...out of seven) however, I have been toying with the idea of joining the fray at Illustration Friday, and this week I plan to take on the theme for the very first time!

The theme for this week is "Magnify" ~ Should be a fun theme to tackle ~ don't you think?

I found this really fun and cool site called "Translation Party"! You put in any phrase you like in English and the site translates it to Japanese and back again until you get a really funny translation! ~ An ode to Google translation which isn't always so accurate! ;)
